Aetna has released their Q1 2027 rate and plan updates in California.

Quarterly Rate Update:

• HMO Full: 2.3%
• HMO Limited: 2.4%
• PPO Full: 3.6%
• PPO Limited: 3.4%
• PPO HSA Full & PPO HSA Limited: 2.7%

Plans/Portfolios:

• The maximum number of plans for new groups will be changing to four plans with January 1, 2027, effective dates. Renewing groups may still elect up to ten plans.
• There are no significant portfolio changes this year; however, several plans' benefits have been adjusted to account for the new 2027 actuarial values and IRS guidelines.

Promotions:

The Early Submission Savings administrative credit program remains in effect through March 1, 2027, effective dates. Get up to $450 per medical subscriber in admin credits, plus an additional $150 per subscriber for adding dental benefits!
