Rite Aid has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is closing its stores. Blue Shield is reaching out to members who used Rite Aid on how to access alternative pharmacies in their community.

Blue Shield members may also receive written communication directly from Rite Aid regarding closures and new pharmacy assignments. Prescription records have been, or will be, transferred to alternative pharmacies.
