With Health Net exiting the California small group market, Kaiser Permanente is offering producer bonuses for groups that move to Kaiser between October 1, 2026 and March 1, 2027. There are two tracks.

New Sales bonus. Producers earn $75 per member for small groups moving directly from Health Net to a fully insured Kaiser contract. Lump-sum tier bonuses stack on top: $500 at 3 groups, $1,000 at 6, $1,500 at 10, and $4,000 at 20, for a cumulative $7,000. After 20 groups, each additional group earns $500. For example, 6 groups with 40 members pays $4,500 ($3,000 per-member plus $1,500 in tier bonuses).

Total Replacement bonus. Groups currently dual-carrier with Health Net and Kaiser that consolidate to Kaiser as sole carrier earn $100 per net new member plus $1,000 per group. Three groups with 45 net new members pays $7,500.

Key conditions:

  • The producer must be producer of record at the time of sale or renewal, and groups must still be active at payout.
  • Payout is capped at $100,000 per agency, paid once by June 30, 2027.
