UnitedHealthcare Q2 2025 Small Group Updates: Mid-Atlantic

UnitedHealthcare has released its Q2 2025 rate updates for the Mid-Atlantic States.

• District of Columbia: 2.1% increase for all plans
• Maryland: 1.9% increase for all plans
• Virginia: 2.4% increase for POS Limited and POS HSA Limited, all other plans have a 2.2% increase

Quoting is available now for all three states.

There are no changes to plan benefits or underwriting guidelines.

There are also no special bonus programs running; however, the standard broker bonus programs are ongoing through December 31:

• Medical: Sell 100+ new lives in 2025 and earn a $50 PEPM bonus. Sell more and earn bonuses of up to $125 PEPM! In addition, you can earn a bonus of $20-$85 per enrolled member for employee retention at or above 85% (80% for level funded). The higher the retention, the higher the bonus.
• Specialty: Sell 25 lines of coverage with a combined minimum of $100K in annualized premium, or 10 lines of coverage with $750K annualized premium, and earn a 4% bonus. Sell even more and you could increase the bonus to up to 6%! In addition, you can earn a bonus of 2%-4% for employee retention at or above 80%. The higher the retention, the higher the bonus.
